Music Major Degree Programs
In order to be a music major, you must audition for and be
accepted by the faculty of the School of Music. Go to this website for

Unregistered and registered students should go to their
regularly scheduled class on Monday to take the test at 7:25 a.m.
in MUS 119.
- Students with AP
Theory scores must still take this test to assure that they are
properly placed at the appropriate theory level.
- Transfer students with
theory credits from a Florida public community college and/or university
do not need to take this test.
- Transfer students with
college theory credits from out-of-state schools should request the
Theory Placement "Transfer" Test.

MUSIC EDUCATION INTERNSHIP
THE INTERNSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS MUST BE COMPLETED TWO FULL TERMS BEFORE
THE INTERNSHIP. (SUMMER IS A TERM.)
- Get a current SASS degree audit report
and use the GPAs for the internship application. It is best if you
get the report from me with my annotations on it where occasional errors
occur.
- Get an official copy of your USF
transcript from the Registrar’s Office.
- Complete the online application form and
print it out. Be sure to sign the pages and bring it to me for my
signature—BEFORE making copies.
- Make three copies of the above documents,
compile them into an original set and three sets of copies, and submit
them to Dianne Wood, Internship Coordinator, in EDU 106.
